About John Plichta

John Plichta has been a licensed contractor for over 35 years and he is a Certified Green Professional. His latest endeavor was to become a certified HERS (Home Energy Rating System) Rater. He graduated from Central Michigan University with a Bachelor of Science degree. He has been in the Carpenters Union for five years, and has had his Builders License 35 years. He is a regular Habitat for Humanity contributor, and all around Green Professional.

Many of his projects have been featured in publications such as Kitchen Homes; Bath, Cottage Living, Home Life, Northern Home, and Better Homes & Gardens. All of his employees are full-time builders who are constantly striving to further their knowledge in the home building industry.

John and his wife, Nancy, enjoy spending time with their ten grandchildren. They also have a small organic grape vineyard and have endeavored to make wine the last few harvests.
